TORQUAY coach Courtney Cuolahan is happy to play as the underdog in Sunday's BFL grand final.
The Tigers are the in-form team of the competition heading into the match against Modewarre at Kardinia Park, but Cuolahan believes all the pressure is on the Warriors.
"We're looking fabulous. We are definitely underdogs that's for sure," Cuolahan said.
"But, you know, we are in the grand final so you have a 50-50 chance of winning."
Torquay secured its first grand final appearance since 1995 with a strong win over league powerhouse Anglesea last week, but now faces an even stiffer test against Modewarre.
The Warriors have appeared in every grand final since the creation of the BFL league in 2011 and boast a strong mid-court.
"Their mid-court is very good, we have to shut that down," Cuolahan said.
"Their goaling line-up, they are so familiar with each other, Sarah Fisher and Rebecca Thompson, and that's vital in big games.
"I think they definitely have been in the position before and we haven't.
"We will be primed and ready to go and ready to enjoy the occasion."
Torquay's B and C grade will also play in grand finals this weekend.
Modewarre beat Torquay in the opening round by 19 goals, but the Tigers got revenge in Round 10 with a nine-goal victory.
"Both times they haven't played us with our full side and I think the second time they were missing a mid-courter or two," Cuolahan said.
Torquay handed the Seas a nine-goal defeat last week with the Tigers shooters doing all the damage when the ball moved into attack.
Cuolahan said it was vital to have shooters who could find their range in finals.
"'Our goalers were fantastic on the weekend," she said.
"In the last little bit they probably weren't in a position they have been in this year. You know, such a comfortable position to win the game."
