Churchill unfurled their premiership flag ahead of their clash against Cowwarr, and demonstrated why they will again in a force as they aim to go back to back. The Cougars claiming the points by 14 goals - 49 to 35.

On Sunday, Heyfield's new recruits performed well over last years Grand Finalists Rosedale. The Kangaroos winning in a strong team effort, 44 to 36.
