The Standard | South Rovers goal shooter Narelle Marsden is looking forward to getting back on the court after having a baby and missing most of last season with illness.
“I am keen to get back into it. The fact I haven’t been able to play for so long — there’s a bit more motivation,” she said. Her excitement is understandable.
The goal shooter was a major recruit for Rovers in 2014, joining friends Kylie Carter and Georgia Bolden at Walter Oval after three years with Camperdown.
But her season in Lions colours ended prematurely. She lasted five minutes and missed the rest of the campaign with pregnancy, battling illness and seizures.
