The Parrots led by 32 points at half-time before the home side booted seven goals to three during the third term to reduce the deficit to two points at the final change.
The Tigers took the lead with the first goal of the fourth quarter before the Parrots booted seven unanswered goals to win 116.13 (109) to 10.10 (70).

After the match Morwell confirmed Soutar would coach the side next season. The two-time premiership captain was appointed coach two rounds into the season.

The Maroons were rarely troubled in their 25.13 (163) to 4.4 (48) victory.
Lee Stockdale and Nick Quenault both out-scored the Gulls, kicking five goals each.
Playing against his previous club, coach and onballer Mark Collison was the Maroons' best.
