ABC GIppsland | The Mid Gippsland Football Netball League (MGFNL) will accept the six Alberton Football Netball League clubs into its competition a year after rejecting a proposed merger.
The league voted to accept the Fish Creek, Foster, Meeniyan Dumbalk United, Stony Creek, Tarwin and Toora clubs at its executive meeting last night. The combined competition could have 15 teams, but two MGFNL clubs are considering moving to neighbouring competitions.
The Alberton league had struggled to stay afloat for in recent years after a number of clubs left the competition.
