MPN FNLLeague Reviews | After finishing the season at the top of the ladder, the Frankston YCW Stonecats were able to cap of their brilliant Home & Away season with a Premiership victory, five years after their last one in 2017.

Bonbeach threw absolutely everything at the Stonecats throughout the day, and even had the momentum heading into the final break (they were within 7 points at three quarter time), but the YCW boys were able to hold strong and finish up with a 26-point win.

The First Quarter saw Bonbeach kicking with a strong breeze towards the Kars Street end, but they couldn’t make the most of it first up, as wild weather conditions made things tough in the first quarter. YCW started the game strong, and if not for inaccurate kicking, could have jumped the Sharks and had a commanding lead at the quarter time break. The Stonecat’s team defence & discipline were on full display early, with Bonbeach finding it tough to get clear entries side their forward 50.

Kicking with the breeze in the second quarter, YCW were able to turn their inaccuracy around, kicking 5 goals straight, to the Sharks 1 goal & 1 behind. E.V Shade Medallist Blake Mullane was huge for his side in the second quarter, collecting 9 disposals, 4 clearances & 2 inside 50’s, leading his side to a 29-point lead at the major break.
