Gippsland FNLMatch Reviews | Here's what you might have missed this week.

Morwell vs Leongatha

Morwell's annual Pink Day quickly turned red on Saturday after they were smashed by Leongatha to the tune of 70 points.

The Tigers have presented a surprisingly thorny opponent for the Parrots in recent times but that wasn't the case on this occasion, the visitors putting on a barnstorming second quarter to prevail 23.8 (146) to 12.4 (76).

Having led by just one point at the first break Leongatha went berserk in the second, thumping through eight goals to two to establish a 37-point lead at half time.

From there the margin only increased as the reigning premiers flexed their muscles in a big way.

Aaron Heppell and Patrick Ireland both finished on five goals for the victors while for the Tigers new recruit and former Melbourne Demon Kye Declase kicked three.

Now at 1-4 the Tigers are in a real hole – for their sake they'll be hoping to find a way out of it soon.

Outside of Heppell and Ireland the Parrots' best included Tom Marriott, Finn Donohue, Curtis Murfett and Benjamin Harding.

Morwell were best served by Aidan Quigley, Hugh Dunbar, Isaac Abas, Blake Couling, Tyler Hillier and Lachie Cloak.

Wonthaggi vs Bairnsdale

A first quarter onslaught set up Wonthaggi for a monster win over Bairnsdale.

The Redlegs undertook the longest trip in country footy only to have the game lost by quarter time after the Power slammed home 10 unanswered goals to open proceedings.
