THE East Gippsland football season begins Friday night with Lakes Entrance hosting reigning premier Paynesville in the only match of the weekend.
Friday night's match, beginning a 6.30pm, is officially part of round four, with round one next weekend.
Former Richmond onballer Shane Tuck will be making a one-off appearance for Lakes Entrance.
With a round one bye, Stratford won't begin its campaign until May 3 at Lindenow.
