Border Mail |ALBURY'S Dean Polo and Brayden O'Hara and Wangaratta Rovers captain Tyson Hartwig have been named in a 39-man Victorian Country squad to play the VAFA next month.
Coach Peter Knights said last night he was pleased with the mix of players at his disposal.
"While there are only five players who represented Vic Country last year, we have selected a number of guys who are proven players at this level," Knights said.
"I have been lucky enough to coach some of these guys previously and know what they can offer."
Eight Peninsula players were selected in the squad after the league beat the Ovens and Murray.
Benalla's Will Martiniello was also selected.
The game will be played at Bendigo on July 11.
