Border Mail |AFTER copping a 17-point loss to Wodonga, the Lavington Panthers are itching for redemption.
They've got Albury in their sights as they look to push for another chance for a premiership, after getting bundled out of the finals in straight sets in 2014.
While the Wodonga loss was heavier than Panthers coach Brooke Spinelli would have liked, she's confident her troops can bounce back.
“We didn't put in our best performance against the Bulldogs, especially in the last quarter,” Spinelli said.
“But we were within striking distance for most of the game, and the mood at training has been pretty good.
“It was a hard fought game, and we'll expect the same from Albury.”
Spinelli said the Panthers had the right mix in terms of versatility to tackle the Tigers on Sunday.
“That's a key difference for us from last year,” she said.
“We were probably a bit predictable, but we've got players who can easily switch positions and change things up.
“The girls just have to take care of a direct opponent.”
