Kyabram is set to send out its strongest line-up of the season on Saturday night as it chases a third straight Goulburn Valley Football League win against Euroa.

The Bombers will welcome back VFL-listed duo Nathan Beck and Rhys Clark from Bendigo Gold commitments, while Chris Atkins (back), Paul Newman (calf and hamstring) and Luke Morris (calf) could also return.

The Murray Bushrangers have a bye this weekend, but Nick Holman will likely be part of the Victoria Country trial games.

Western Australia-based defender Josh Vick, a former Kyabram captain who is back in the region for a couple of weeks, will also play again.

Bombers coach David Williams said, barring any setbacks, he would have his best side available for the year.

‘‘We just have to make sure Paulo is right, but we won’t know until Thursday night,’’ Williams said.

‘‘‘Afro’ (Atkins) trained on Tuesday and Thursday night (last week), so he should be all right, but Luke was a bit sore in the calf still.

‘‘Out of those five I mentioned (including Beck and Clark), it’s inevitable one of them won’t come up, but, potentially, it will be our best side.’’

Williams said recruits Axel Childs (broken hand) and Sam Sheldon (broken ankle) were still two and five weeks away, respectively.

Kyabram lost its opening two matches of the season to Tatura and Rochester, but has since beaten winless sides Echuca and Mansfield.

Williams was pleased his players responded on Saturday once the Eagles drew within seven points with five consecutive goals — four of which came in a hurry in the last term.

‘‘The end was fantastic, but the way they kicked their goals, with all due respect to them, was from our mistakes,’’ Williams said.

‘‘In the last minute of the third quarter we were out, counter-attacking, and we gave a sloppy handball that didn’t hit the mark and they turned it over and kicked a goal, which gave them a sniff.

‘‘We were still 10 goals to five at three-quarter time, so it was going to be a hard get, but three of our young blokes went into the corridor to a 50-50 and turned the ball over.’’

Williams said he and fellow coaching staff would watch the match DVD then ‘‘reiterate what our policy or game plan is with that scenario’’.

He said the Bombers had some danger games ahead, but was satisfied with how they were progressing.
