Match Preview | Another huge round of matches in the SS&A OMFNL with the four venues being split between Saturday and the special ANZAC day matches on Tuesday.
The main event on Saturday will be the huge clash at the JC Lowe Oval when Yarrawonga play host to Wangaratta who beat them in the 2022 grand final. They have lost both matches to start the season with its lack of pace around the contest being badly missed with no Joe Richards or Abe Ankers at its disposal. The Pigeons after an ordinary Easter Sunday performance bounced back to its best in a brilliant second-half display at Bunton Park last week.
The remaining Saturday clash is an absolute beauty with Wangaratta Rovers at home to Lavington who had the bye last week. The Rovers dodged a bullet last week but have found a very favourable and uncanny habit of coming from behind for victory in recent years. The Brown and Golds have spent more time behind on the scoreboard than in front but still remain unbeaten and a fascinating side to watch.
Lavington’s form has been nothing to get excited about with a six-point loss to Wodonga and a six point win at Myrtleford.
