OvensMurrayFNl22 squarev2Match Previews | The weather gods are once again delivering on another magnificent spring day for the preliminary final action on Sunday at Birallee Park in Wodonga.

The football preliminary final will be a replay of the 2017 and 2018 grand final decider when Albury take on Wangaratta.

While in netball action it will be minor and defending premier Yarrawonga who will have to beat the much improved and in-form Wodonga Raiders.

The Magpies have a huge task ahead if they are to make a return to the Lavington Sportsground where they defeated Yarrawonga in the 2022 decider.

Michael Newton who was a late withdrawal from last weeks semi final win over Wodonga is back in the side and will be hoping to repeat his five goal haul from the qualifying final Albury.

The Magpies will also strongly consider promoting tall youngster Xavier Laverty who has returned from injury in recent weeks and been in excellent form.

George Horlin-Smith who was also a late withdrawal last Saturday has been selected, while Michael Duncan has been named an emergency as he battles a hamstring complaint.
