WODONGA Raiders coach Ken Stevenson has labelled star duo Mark Doolan and Dean Limbach “100 per cent” fit for today’s crunch clash with Myrtleford.
The Raiders skipper and star forward were both hampered by niggling injuries in the club’s first round loss to Wangaratta Rovers but Stevenson said the week off — thanks to an early season split round — had done wonders for them both.
“They’re both 100 per cent this week,” Stevenson said.
“Dools is fine; he was a little underdone.
“Dean shouldn’t have played, but that was just a mistake.
“It was the first round and you obviously want all your guys out there.
“But they’ve both trained the house down.”
Meanwhile, Stevenson confirmed news Dean Heta had officially left the club for Old Ivanhoe Grammarians in the VAFA.
It’s a huge blow, considering he was by far the Raiders’ best player in round one and a standout at Birallee Park last year.
“Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out,” Stevenson said.
