WODONGA Raiders proved there was life after century goal-kicker Patrick Rose when his goal-square replacement Dean Limbach helped lift them to a 24-point win against Myrtleford at Birallee Park on Saturday.

The Raiders seemed dead and buried when the Saints kicked the first goal of the second quarter to open a 34-point lead.

The home team was held goal-less in the first quarter and looked headed for a demoralising defeat.

But enter Limbach, who laboured through his first game with a thigh injury, and unheralded youngster Brock Knights.

Limbach booted four of his eight goals of the match in the second term revival and Knights kicked three on his way to five for the game.

The Raiders piled on eight goals in a stunning second term revival to fight back from 34 points down to pinch the lead by seven points at half-time.

Limbach is a serious presence up forward and the Saints reacted to his influence by switching Luke Chapman onto him after his first two goals.
