Border Mail | WODONGA coach Dean Harding praised his team's fighting spirit after it stormed home to defeat North Albury by 23 points at John Flower Oval on Saturday.
Trailing by two goals midway through the third quarter and looking out on their feet, the Bulldogs willed their way back into the contest and went on to cause the first upset of the Ovens and Murray season.
It was a combination of the old and new who plotted North Albury's downfall with Daniel Bradshaw kicking six goals in a polished return while Mason Marr and Isaac Wallace gave the Bulldog faithful plenty to be excited about with encouraging performances.
Harding said it was important the home team started with a win.
"It's a good reward for everyone at the club," Harding said
