From the Shepp News
Shepparton United’s key defensive recruit Brad Henderson will make his Demons debut against Shepparton Swans on Saturday.
United coach Marc Quarrell confirmed after Sunday’s nine-point win over Mooroopna that Shepparton-based Henderson would slot straight into his line-up.
Joey Perkovic will also return from suspension to play on dual premiership teammate and new Swan Tyson Sidebottom.
Henderson, a tall and versatile defender, played in Yarrawonga’s Ovens and Murray Football League premiership last year.
His signing comes at a perfect time, with Cats forwards Chris Schirmer and Rob Osborne and, to a lesser degree, Daniel Lewis running rampant on Sunday.
Henderson could even be a straight swap for fellow defender David Gillespie, who will defend a striking charge at the tribunal tomorrow night.
