WODONGA Raiders full-forward Dean Limbach has backed coach Ken Stevenson’s claims the club can play finals this season.
Despite being written off by the critics over the off-season following the departure of many key players, the Raiders sprung a surprise by upsetting Myrtleford at the weekend with the former Richmond player confident of inflicting more pain on rival clubs.
“It’s fair to say that we probably won’t win the flag this year but we want to be competitive and show everyone what we have got,” Limbach said.
“We made finals last year so obviously our aim is to play finals again and have a real crack at it.
“Nobody tipped us at the weekend bar our one person, who is our old coach, and we are over the moon to shove it back up everyone.
“We want to show we are the real deal.
