Border Mail |FOOTBALL authorities have caught up with former Federal and Walla footballer Scott Brunnenmeyer, with AFL Victoria de-registering him for passing the limit on career suspensions.
It is understood Brunnenmeyer has 26 weeks of bans either side of the Murray River, well above the 16-week threshold.
Brunnenmeyer, 27, who joined Geelong West this season from Federal, was banned for three weeks in round 1 for rough conduct on Bannockburn's Connor Jervies.
He played in round 5 against Bell Post Hill.
Notification of his de-registration arrived from AFL Victoria before Friday night's loss to East Geelong.
His rap sheet includes an 11-match ban in the Hume league in 2010 and five weeks when playing for Wahgunyah in 2009. He cannot appeal until next year.
