The Lions charged to a 30-13 lead by quarter-time at Sea Lake and then won the second term, 22-14.
A 25-point buffer for Calder United at the long break became four goals at a quarter to go.
Inspired by the play of Dale Pearce, Oscar Madden and Jack Marlais the Lions scored another four goals in the final quarter to complete an 85-45 victory.
A seven-goal haul by Pearce in his first match for the Lions clinched best on ground honours.
This season Pearce is playing for Central District in the South Australia National Football League.
Other multiple goalkickers for Calder United against the Tigers were Jack Exell and Cody Green on two.
There were no multiple goalkickers for Sea Lake Nandaly.
Best for the Lions included Steven Kennedy, Zach Caccaviello and Koby Hommelhoff.
A United team jointly coached by Darryl Wilson, non-playing, and Jordan Humphreys, playing, has a win-loss record of seven-two and is second on the ladder.
