The clash of the league’s top two was played at Pyramid Hill’s Mitchell Park.
Unbeaten in its pursuit of a fourth consecutive premiership, Marong swept aside the Bulldogs challenge.
A brilliant start by Marong meant it led 24-7 at quarter-time.
Goalkicking accuracy was a highlight of the Panthers play as all seven shots on goal in the first half were on target.
Marong led 42-20 by the long break.
As the Panthers scored 2.7 in the third they kept Pyramid Hill to nil.
Being scoreless in a quarter has not happened too often for Pyramid Hill in recent seasons.
As co-coach Kain Robins kicked three goals the Panthers also had Michael Bradbury and Shannon Geary boot two majors in a 79-32 victory.
