Heathcote District FNLMatch Reviews | HEATHCOTE withstood a final-quarter fightback by Huntly to win Sunday’s third round match in Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine Heathcote DFNL senior footy.

The Saints and Hawks played out a great match on the Harlowe Huntly Hawks turf in Strauch Reserve.

A Heathcote line-up coached by Andrew Saladino, non-playing, and Liam Jacques, playing, held a 26-point buffer going into the final term.

Huntly fought back strongly to score four goals, but a solitary goal by the Saints was enough to clinch a 70-64 victory.

Sean Williams led Heathcote’s attack on three goals as Dylan Johnstone and Jake Waters added two each.

Huntly’s attack was led by Sam Dunstan on three as Abe Sladden and Darby Walsh booted two.

Best for Heathcote were Stefan Rasinac, Codie Price, Will Tobin, Sean Williams, Lachlan Freeman Taber, and Jake Waters.
