Central Murray FNLMatch Reviews | THERE were some high scores achieved Saturday’s play in round nine of the Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray senior footy competition.

Six of the eight winners surpassed the 120-point mark as Cohuna Kangas, 195; Mallee Eagles, 180; and Hay, 171; dominated their matches.

Closest margin of the day was 18 points were Lake Boga beat Koondrook Barham at Barham Recreation Reserve.

Lake Boga led 25-9 at quarter-time, but the Marcus Demaria-coached Koondrook Barham struck back to win the second term, 32-12.

The River Raiders led 61-57 going into the final term, but it was the Lake Boga Magpies who lifted their play to score five goals.

When the siren sounded the Dean Helmers-coached Lake Boga led 88-70.

The Magpies’ attack was led by Rex Hickman on five goals as Codie Anderson and Nathaniel Holmes-Brown kicked two each.
