Heathcote District FNLMatch Reviews | Mount Pleasant dominated quarters two and four on its way to a 117-16 win against Elmore at Toolleen Recreation Reserve.

Scores were locked on 12-all at quarter-time before Mounts slammed on 6.3 and kept the Bloods to a behind in the second term.

The Blues won the third quarter, 15-1.

Inspired by the play of Jack Hickman, Jett Nicholas and co-captain William Wallace, Mounts slammed on 8.3 as the Bloods added two behinds in the last quarter.

At the final siren Mounts led 117-16.

In the absence of gun forward Ben Weightman, hamstring, it was Jaxson Nihill and Joel Wharton who led the Blues’ attack with three goals each and figured in the best.

Other multiple goalkickers were Xavier Carter, Nathan Kay and co-captain Caelan Smith on two each.

Both of Elmore’s goals were off the boot of Lachie Gawel.

Best for Mount Pleasant included Nathan Kay against a club he had coached the previous two seasons.

Elmore’s best were Matt Filo, captain Rhys Holmberg, Matt Gilmour, Hayden Trewick, Charlie O’Toole and Lachie Munro.
