Geelong Advertiser | BILL Brownless and John “Sammy” Newman will headline in support of Otway Districts footballer Aaron Mahoney’s family later this month.
The Geelong greats will lead an all-star cast comprising Hawthorn premiership player and Brownlow medallist Shane Crawford and Melbourne champion Garry Lyon at Bill’s Day Out on June 28.
Triple M commentator and Channel 10 reporter Mark Howard is the Master of Ceremonies for the Afternoon on The Pier, while comedy act the Nelson Twins will also perform.
Hawks premiership player Luke Hodge helped bring the celebrities together for the function and has organised a host of auction items to raise money for Mahoney’s partner Emma Craddock and their children Asha and Toby.
Bill’s Day Out organiser and Otway Districts club official Scott Harris hopes to fill The Pier function room, which holds 800 people.
