PimpinioWimmera-Mail Times| PIMPINIO can win three consecutive games for the first time since 2009 when it travels to take on Edenhope-Apsley on Saturday.

Where: Edenhope Showground, Saturday 2.20pm.

Umpires: A. Wright and Jason Farlow.

Last time they met: Round one, 2015. Edenhope-Apsley 11.7 (73) d Pimpinio 10.6 (66).

The Tigers nearly beat the Saints at home in round one, but were beaten by some bad decision making in the dying minutes.

They can atone for the performance on Saturday, and coach Mathew Everett said his side needed to be ready to take its chances against the slumping Saints.

''We think it's a great opportunity for us,'' he said.

''Round one was a game we were very disappointed to lose. We had every opportunity to win that game and inexperience cost us in the end.''

Everett said the club's veterans had led the way so far this season, but it was up to some of the younger players to get them across the line against Edenhope-Apsley on Saturday.

He said the likes of small forward Aaron Prior-Stroud and larger targets such as Liam Jakobi and Dylan Baker were still learning to play together.

Dylan Arnott and Dylan Bushby were two others Everett said had a lot of potential.

Another youngster, Jordan Cramer, pulled up sore after Pimpinio's win against Noradjuha-Quantong, but Everett said there were few changes likely to be made to the side.
