The Standard |A QUAD injury to Nick Johnstone was the only negative to come out of Allansford's visit to Panmure on Saturday.
Johnstone was playing his first game since injuring an ankle in round six but he strained his quad and was subbed out in the first quarter. The good news is Allansford coach Josh Parkinson expects Johnstone to miss just this week against Deakin University.
Allansford defeated Panmure 18.14. (122) to 8.7. (55) with Justin Nowell kicking six goals and midfielder Leatham Robe best on ground.
"It's always tough going out at Panmure so we were happy to get the points," Parkinson said.
"Our first half was good, it was pleasing to play so well when the game was on the line. We slacked off a bit in the last quarter where they kicked five goals to two which was a bit disappointing but overall we were happy."
For Panmure the shining light was Sam Mahony who was their best player and leading goalkicker with three.
