The Standard | PERSISTENCE paid off for Camperdown on Saturday as it ended a seven-game Hampden league losing streak.
The Magpies held off a Portland challenge to prevail 15.15 (105) to 12.14 (86) at Leura Oval. Camperdown coach Phil Carse was proud of his side’s effort. “We were on top in inside 50s and clearances but were a bit inefficient going inside forward 50 and weren’t capitalising but bulk entries in the end got us over the line.”
