Wimmera-Mail Times | HORSHAM SAINTS put together one of their most polished performances of the season on Saturday, dispatching Nhill by 163 points at Coughlin Park.
The win ensures the Saints remain one game clear of Horsham on top of the Wimmera league ladder, a position that will yield them a week off at the beginning of their finals campaign.
The Saints were potent with 12 individual goal-kickers, making the Tigers look second-rate and denting Nhill’s chances of a finals berth in 2015.
Saints coach Shayne Breuer was pleased with the manner his side went about the contest, but he was surprised with the end result.
“Some of our ball movement was good and our work rate across the four quarters was really good,” he said.
Breuer said the ability of the Saints to spread the offensive load was something he had been trying to instill in his group all year.
“Something we’ve been working on has been getting multiple goal-kickers and getting different players from across the ground to hit the scoreboard,” he said.
