KRock Football | Matt McMahon has become the first player to declare his hand ahead of next Saturday’s GFL blockbuster meeting between Newtown & Chilwell and St Joseph’s by withdrawing from the Vic Country squad.
The Eagles captain was one of six players from the two clubs in contention to wear the Big V against the VAFA in a match that clashes with the local 1v2 game.
However, McMahon revealed he wouldn’t have played for Vic Country even if Newtown & Chilwell was playing lesser opposition than the two-time reigning premier.
