Weekly Advertiser | There will be plenty of interest in Wimmera league round-four senior football games on Saturday – particularly with two games featuring likely finals sides this season.
Southern Mallee Thunder will host Stawell at Jeparit, and Horsham Saints travel to Davis Park to take on Nhill in two matches that will attract plenty of interest.
The Thunder, coming off a 10-point win over the Saints, will take on the undefeated Stawell, who scored a strong 101-39 point win over Horsham Demons.
Shepparton recruit Edward Lindon was named the Thunder’s best, along with brothers Matty and Billy Lloyd, and ruckman Kieran Delahunty, in a match where Saints led for three quarters.
The Tigers got off to a sleepy start at Minyip, held to just one point for the quarter, but with Tom Wheaton, Lachlan Gill and Lucas Dahlenburg the standouts, were able to get their game back on track to boot five goals in the second term and take a 16-point advantage into half-time.
