K Rock Football | Scott Frangos has labelled his departure from the senior coaching role at GDFNL club Geelong West as “probably the right decision for the club to go forward”.
Frangos and the Giants agreed yesterday to bring his nearly two-and-a-half-year tenure to an end after starting the new season without a win through the opening five rounds.
“You can’t really start 0-5 and think everything’s peachy all the time,” Frangos told K rock Football.
“It’s hard because there were some stages that we played some really good footy in those games, but the bad was just outweighing the good at the moment.
“Obviously, you want to sort of see years out
“It’s a good young group; it’s a lot younger than years past.
“But… you can’t start 0-5 and not expect to get the shoulder at some stage. But it doesn’t make it any easier.”
