Match Previews | The moment has finally arrived – the Westvic Scaffolding Final Series is here.
After an unbelievable home-and-away season, the stage is set for four weeks of finals football, with plenty of storylines and some of the competition’s best teams ready to battle it out for premiership glory.
North Warrnambool has been the standout team of the season, suffering just one minor blemish – a draw a couple of weeks ago – to otherwise remain unbeaten.
Their consistency throughout the year has been outstanding, and they enter the finals as the team everyone will be looking to knock off.
Terang Mortlake has made its return to the finals fold, while Koroit, Portland and Warrnambool are all back in September action after missing out last season.
With the six teams now set, the next four weeks promise to be a terrific showcase of Hampden FNL football.
There is also a special milestone to celebrate this weekend, with Koroit star Liam Hoy set to line up for his 200th senior game.
It is a fitting occasion for one of the competition’s most consistent performers, with Hoy having been a standout player for a number of seasons.
