THE secret is officially out. Geelong West-St Peter’s star Chris Moreland was snapped during the first day of production for reality football show The Recruit yesterday.
Moreland and the Roosters had remained tight-lipped about the Foxtel series, which aims to discover a grassroots footballer fit for an AFL list.
But his appearance during a gruelling challenge in Melbourne yesterday confirmed his involvement in the 10-part show.
He was one of 50 hopefuls who carried heavy cement blocks from Docklands to the MCG.
Written on the blocks were messages meaningful to the contestants.
Moreland had the word “family” scrawled on his.
From the group, 12 will be chosen for the series which will air midyear.
The winner is guaranteed a spot on an AFL club list.
Avoiding injury, Moreland watched from the outer as his Roosters teammates beat St Albans by 38 points on the weekend.
