east gelongGeelong Advertiser | EAST Geelong hard man Brad Huhn is out of hospital and in good spirits after narrowly avoiding a serious head injury in his side’s loss to Thomson.

Huhn had scans on his head and neck after getting knocked out from an accidental clash of heads in the air with Thomson’s Sam Jacka late in the final quarter on Sunday.

He still held the chest mark but then hit his head hard on the turf, resulting in a delay of almost half-an-hour while an ambulance transported him to hospital.

“He was knocked out cold, his eyes were rolling back in his head, he didn’t move,” East Geelong coach Ricky O’Toole said.

O’Toole said Huhn was cleared of damage and released from hospital about midnight on Sunday.

“I wouldn’t think he’d play this week, but he’s a tough bugger, I wouldn’t think you could come back from that so quick,” he said.

It capped a horror day for the Eagles, with three players ending the day in the casualty ward.
