The Standard |SOUTH Warrnambool's next generation won't have to look far for inspiration today.
Some of the Roosters' 29 VFL/AFL graduates, including three-time Brisbane Lions premiership forward Jonathan Brown, will watch the Nigel Kol-coached outfit play at Friendly Societies' Park as part of a special reunion weekend.
Kol is hoping his young side relishes the chance to play in front of the club's esteemed alumni.
"It's exciting to have some of our ex-superstars come back and our kids want to put their best foot forward," he said. "It is a fantastic achievement for one football club to have so many (VFL/AFL) players come out of it.
"It says something about how we educate our kids and teach them.
"Even now we have five in the TAC Cup." South Warrnambool will wear a special commemorative guernsey to mark the occasion.
The names of all 29 VFL/AFL graduates, including two players currently in the elite system in Collingwood midfielder Sam Dwyer and Gold Coast utility Louis Herbert, feature on the predominantly white jumper.
"It's always nice to put a jumper in your trophy cabinet," Kol said.
Koroit enters the match brimming with confidence after a comfortable win against Port Fairy last weekend.
The Adam Dowie-coached Saints have a 3-1 record and have won their past three matches by an average of 67 points.
