The Standard |MASKELL Medal favourite Tim McIntyre is set for a stint on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in Warrnambool's 102-point win over Hamilton Kangaroos on Saturday.
The former Adelaide Crows-listed player's match was over after just 10 minutes at Melville Oval, after straining a hamstring.
The injury rules him out of Saturday's interleague clash with the Murray league and more than likely the Blues' round six match against Camperdown.
Coach Scott Carter said McIntyre was disappointed he would miss representing the league. "It's not bad," Carter said. "It's on the minor end of a strain."
Carter said McIntyre would not be rushed back although he isn't ruling him out of the match against the Magpies yet.
