wodonga raidersWeekly Times | WODONGA Raiders’ Matt McDonald is free to play against Wangaratta Rovers on Saturday after he was cleared at the Ovens and Murray Football League tribunal last night.

McDonald was charged by the match review panel for “intentionally, recklessly or negligently” making front-on contact with Lavington’s Kade Stevens while Stevens had his head over the ball.

The incident occured during the first quarter of last Saturday’s Round 15 clash between the two sides.

McDonald was found not guilty at the tribunal last night.

Stevens sustained fractured vertebrae in his neck, but returned home from hospital on Monday night and is recovering from his injury.

Saturday’s match was his first senior game this season after sustaining a serious wrist injury in last year’s semi-final.
