rumbalara01Weekly Times |RUMBALARA Football Club could be on the hunt for a new coach.

Its incoming coach, Nathan Lovett-Murray, is among 34 past and present Essendon players banned for doping.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport today issued its decision on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s appeal against the AFL anti-doping tribunal’s decision on the Essendon players.

The case centred around the club’s notorious 2012 supplements program.

The 34 players have now been banned for two years, commencing March 31 last year, but credit was given for any period of ineligibility already served.

Lovett-Murray’s suspension will conclude on December 15 this year.

He took to Instagram this morning to voice his feelings on the decision.

“What a bulls*** decision. We will appeal it if we can if not no footy or coaching for myself this year,” he wrote.

The 33-year-old was appointed to coach the Murray Football League club at the end of last year, replacing another former Essendon player, Damian Cupido.

Lovett-Murray, who played 145 games for Essendon before retiring after the 2013 season, was part of Rumba’s premiership winning side in 2014.

AFL Victoria said this morning it would not make any comment on the matter until the AFL had released a statement later today.
