From the Weekly Times
CHASE Strawhorn has made an immediate impression on the Murray Football League. The ex-Rennie power forward booted 12 goals for Mulwala in its 198-point domination of Rumbalara in a best-on-ground performance. Strawhorn claimed the senior goalkicking title in the Picola and District Football League's South East division last year after he booted 102 goals for Rennie and is already on track to kick the ton again this year.
He was one of seven multiple goalkickers for Mulwala on Saturday as the Lions surged to a 38.14 (242) to 5.10 (40) victory.
Meanwhile, Kael Bergles' dominance for Kilcunda-Bass on Saturday sent an ominous warning to opponents in the Alberton league.
Bergles, who has transferred from Ellinbank league club Poowong, slotted eight goals in the 16.7 (103) to 9.15 (69) victory over Phillip Island.
The star forward looks to have picked up where former Panthers sharpshooter Luke James, who booted 195 home-and-away goals in the past two years, left off.
