oandmGeelong premiership winning champion Steve Johnson is set to be special guest at this year’s SS&A Ovens
& Murray Football Netball League Grand Final.

The mercurial star will personally bring the 2015 SS&A Cup to the ground and toss the coin ahead of the main game on the 27th of September.

Johnson, who hails from Wangaratta joins a host of AFL stars including Anthony Miles, Daniel Cross, Jack
Ziebell and Justin Koschitzke who have made their way back to the region for the league’s premier event
in recent years.

According to SS&A OMFNL General Manager Aaron McGlynn it’s great to have local stars of the game
acknowledge where their careers began.

“Having Stevie J at this year’s SS&A OMFNL Grand Final is a massive coup. He’s a player who is universally
admired regardless of who you follow”.

The man behind The Footy Show’s title track “More than a Game” Chris Doheny is also set to appear in
just under a fortnight. The former front man of Aussie rockers Geisha will wow the crowd with a number
of footy favourites.

While the excitement is certainly building for Grand Final Day, the league is sorry to announce the
scheduled Grand Final Parade set for the 25th of September won’t be proceeding as planned. Unforeseen
circumstances mean the parade will go on hiatus for 12 months according to McGlynn.

“Unfortunately we just weren’t able to acquire the number of vehicles needed to make the day happen.

Works around the planned opening of MAMA at QEII Square in Albury also meant access and space is
restricted. Having said that, we plan to be back bigger and better in 2016”.
