AFLCommunityChallengeThe Geelong FNL is the top community football league in Victoria, after defeating Eastern FL by 24-points in the inaugural WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships on Saturday.

In perfect conditions at Simmonds Stadium, the home side got out of the blocks early to pile on five majors in the opening half to take a 13-point lead.

With both sides fighting hard for the ball in the second and third efforts, the battle for the number one ranking continued to heat up.

The win sees Geelong FNL ranked number one in 2017, while Eastern FL slip to third.
