AFL VicCountryAFL Victoria is pleased to confirm the venues for the 2018 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships held on Saturday May 19.

Fourteen community venues from across all corners of the state will host a local representative match, including Peter Jackson VFL and TAC Cup venues Preston City Oval and Queen Elizabeth Oval (Bendigo), as well as JLT Community Series venues Central Reserve Colac and Moe’s Ted Summerton Reserve.

The current number-one-ranked Geelong Football Netball League will be looking to secure its third straight Community Championships title when it lines up against the Eastern Football League at Etihad Stadium. The Ballarat Football Netball League and Goulburn Valley League (7 v 8) will run out on the hallowed turf in season 2018, while the leagues’ Under 19 representative match will be played at Punt Road Oval.

In addition, the 11 v 12 match between AFL Yarra Ranges and South East FNL will be played at Beaconsfield’s Holm Park as a curtain raiser to the Round 7 Peter Jackson VFL match between Richmond and Sandringham.

In its third season, the 2018 WorkSafe AFL Victoria Community Championships will once again see the best senior community footballers go head-to-head in a bid to rise up the ranks on their quest to be crowned the number-one community league in the state.

Thirty-two leagues have opted in to compete in the annual senior representative event this season, with 28 leagues hailing from country Victoria, while a further four metropolitan leagues will prepare to lace up the boots.
