Today's SS&A Ovens & Murray Football Netball League Round one senior football match at Albury Sportsground between the Albury Tigers Club and Yarrawonga Football Netball Club was abandoned at 3.22pm this afternoon.
Shortly after the quarter time break Albury player, number 19 James McQuillan appeared to sustain an injury, the full details of which are yet to be confirmed.
Paramedics were subsequently called to the playing venue and administered medical attention before transporting McQuillan from the ground.
Immediately after the incident officiating umpires called time off and after 30 minutes the match was abandoned under the Laws of Australian Football 10.6.2 (b).
"If the Match is unable to recommence within a 30 minute period and the elapsed playing time of the Match was less than the half time period, the Match shall be deemed to be drawn and the scores of the Teams at the time the Match was interrupted shall be used in calculating the percentage of each Team".
Representatives from both clubs agreed to end the match which has been registered as a drawn result.
As information relating to any injury is yet to be confirmed the SS&A Ovens & Murray Football Netball League will not be commenting further on the player's condition.
