malleeflThis Saturday sees the culmination of the 2014 Mallee Football League season, as the
Grand Final is played out up at Underbool.

The finals race has been valiantly fought, while results have been strangely similar to last season. The Sea Lake-Nandaly Tigers took the first berth in the Grand Final after accounting for Beulah in the 1st Semi Final.

Woomelang-Lascelles were the other team to claim a berth in the Grand Final after a crushing win over Ouyen United in the 2nd Semi Final, and an emphatic win over Beulah in last weeks Preliminary Final. It will be nearly impossible to pick the winner between these two rivals, and the result will no doubt go down to the wire. Both meetings between the Tigers and the Cats this season has resulted in comfortable wins to the Tigers, however the Cats will carry the psychological edge as they go into the match as the reigning premiers.

There will be plenty of players to watch from both sides and plenty of key match ups for coaches to loose sleep over. Colin Durie will lead the way through the midfield for the Tigers, while Cliff Ryan up forward and Luke Martin down back have rarely put a foot wrong all year.

The Cats will look towards Jack Shannahan for another big performance, while Corey Kelly and Rohan Coburn will need to give there all for one more match.

The reserves match sees Beulah attempt to go back to back as they and the Sea Lake-Nandaly Tigers do battle, while the Under 16's match will feature Ouyen United and Woomelang-Lascelles.

Good luck to all teams competing for a 2014 premiership flag.
