malleeflAn interesting game looms between the 2 in-form sides of the competition in in round 7 of the Mallee Football League.

There was nothing between the Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers and Woomelang Lascelles last time they met, and with the Tigers narrowly getting over the line, the Cats will be out for revenge.

Woomelang will have enjoyed the week off and should be near full strength this week so they won't be giving any excuses. They have consistent winners across all lines this season. The Donnan's offer great versatility and determination, Arnold Kirby provides strength around the contests and Pierce Liddle has been burning off any opponent he is given. They will need everyone firing however to beat the classy Tigers.

The Tigers are well drilled and disciplined. Every week they have 21 players playing to thier game plan. Unless the Cats have their own plan in place to combat this they will struggle to go with them.

The Tigers experienced players in Joe Summerhayes, Lance Brown, Jarred Arentz and Col Durie lead by example. They are not only ball winners but their communication and direction onfield allows the rest of the team to play with confidence. This may be enough to get them over the line.

Walpeup Underbool and the Southern Mallee Giants
The Roos, even though they are winless at the bottom of the ladder can come up to level points with the Giants if they can reverse the 10 goal difference from the last time they met.

They will have the advantage of their home ground and with Matt Palmer and Brad Dabrowski set to return, the Roos will give themselves every chance. They will need a forward to step up and kick a bag. Kane Munro seems the most likely to do this, however he has been spending a lot of time in the midfield, so he will need some assistance. Ben Fisher has also shared his time between the forward line and in the middle, but always looms as a dangerous player when near the goals.

The Giants' are still yet to put together a four-quarter performance. One excellent quarter against the Tigers last week gave them a sniff, however it will be consistency throughout the game that they will need to get their second win.

Depending on how they pulled up after training; David Baulch, Jason Turnbull, Zac Robins and Fabian Deborlo could all be inclusions. This will add depth to their squad and certainly give them a great opportunity to have some mismatches on the field.
