saleGippsland Times |THE season for the Sale A grade netball team came to an end on Sunday, losing the first semi-final to Morwell.

Hit injuries to key players, the Magpies lost to Morwell 41-33 at Traralgon.

The Tigers will advance to this Sunday's preliminary final, where they will meet Drouin, which lost the second semi-final 57-43 to Traralgon.

Saturday's win at Moe booked the Maroons the first spot in the grand final.

There was better news for Sale's under 17 and 13 teams, which won their way in their respective grand finals.

In the under 17s, the Magpies defeated Traralgon 43-32 in the second semi-final. In the first semi-final, Maffra lost to Moe 38-36 after leading by six goals at half-time.

Sale won the under 13s second semi-final 39-35 against Wonthaggi to advance to the grand final. Bairnsdale defeated Traralgon 38-23 in the first semi-final.

Maffra won its way into the under 15s grand final with a 43-20 victory over Sale on Saturday. The Magpies will play in the preliminary final against Traralgon, which defeated Wonthaggi 36-29 in the first semi-final.

In B grade, Traralgon defeated Drouin 43-39 in the second semi-final and Leongatha won the first semi against Moe 60-49.

Wonthaggi won the C grade second semi-final against Traralgon 40-38, while Bairnsdale ended Leongatha's season with a 30-23 victory.

Sunday at Morwell:

A grade: Drouin v Morwell, 2.15pm.

B grade: Drouin v Leongatha, 1pm.

C grade: Traralgon v Bairnsdale, noon.

Under 17s: Traralgon v Moe, 11am.

Under 15s: Sale v Traralgon, 10am.

Under 13s: Wonthaggi v Bairnsdale, 9am.
