Bendigo FNLLeague Review | Kangaroo Flat was not overawed by appearance of some Super League netball stars for Castlemaine in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Football Netball League’s A-grade netball match on Saturday.

The Roos made the trek for an important match on Castlemaine’s court at Camp Reserve.

The Magpies’ line-up included Gabby Coffey from Melbourne Vixens, and former NSW Swifts goalshooter Mikaela Vaughan.

It was Kangaroo Flat which jumped out to an eight goal lead before the Magpies cut the deficit in half.

Goalshooter Lou Dupuy would play a key role in Kangaroo Flat’s run in the vital third quarter on the way to a 57-41 victory.

Best for the Jayden Cowling-coached Kangaroo Flat included Abbey Ryan, Laura McDonald and Milly Wicks.

Castlemaine has a 3-3 record and will play at Golden Square in the Indigenous Round on May 28 and then be at home to face Eaglehawk a week later.
