Yarrawonga FCFORMER Blue and Lion Brendan Fevola bagged nine goals on Saturday to inspire Yarrawonga to a 83-point win over the Wodonga Raiders in the Ovens and Murray league.

Fevola finished with 9.11, while new recruit and ex-Tiger Kayne Pettifer booted two as the Pigeons notched a comfortable 18.24 (132) to 7.7 (49) win

North Albury registered a 117-point thumping of the Wangaratta Magpies, inspired by Kane Godde and Adam Prior's combined 13 goals, with controversial player-coach Jason Akermanis also booting three majors.

Former Saint Steven Baker made a successful debut for Sorrento in the Nepean league, booting three goals in a 22.19 (151) to 11.11 (77) win against Hastings.

Baker, who played 203 games for St Kilda, successfully overturned a lifetime suspension this month and helped lift the reigning premiers to its third-straight victory for 2013.

Former Docker and Bomber Adam McPhee kicked a goal on debut for Greenvale in the Essendon District league. Greenvale pipped Keilor by 10 points.

Greenvale led by five points at three-quarter time courtesy of inaccurate goalkicking from Keilor - which finished with 6.20 - and held on for its second win of the season.

Essendon Doutta Stars overcame a 15-point deficit at three-quarter time to beat Strathmore 10.14 (74) to 10.12 (72) for its first win of the season. while Avondale Heights, Aberfeldie and Maribyrnong Park also registered Round 2 wins.
