gippflGippsland Times | AFTER being in the top five for most of the Gippsland League netball season, Leongatha dropped out of the finals race after losing to Morwell 49-44 on Saturday.

Maffra's season ended with a 66-34 loss at Wonthaggi, Traralgon clinched the minor premiership with an 88-13 win over bottom side Warragul, Moe defeated Bairnsdale 52-38, and Sale scored an impressive 47-33 win over Drouin.

Traralgon finished on top of the ladder on 60 points, four ahead of Morwell, with Drouin on 54, Sale 46 and Moe 44. Four points outside the top five, Leongatha finished in sixth place.

The first half of Sale's home game against Drouin was even with the Magpies just ahead at each change.

Just before three-quarter-time, the Magpies led by three goals, but in the final term they stormed home to win by 14.

The Magpies will play Moe in the elimination final this Sunday at Morwell.

Qualifying finals, Saturday at Moe:

A grade: Morwell v Drouin, 2.20pm.

B grade: Leongatha v Drouin, 1pm.

C grade: Leongatha v Wonthaggi, noon.

Under 17s: Traralgon v Maffra, 11am.

Under 15s: Sale v Traralgon, 10am.

Under 13s: Sale v Bairnsdale, 9am.

Elimination finals, Sunday at Morwell:

A grade: Sale v Moe, 2.20pm.

B grade: Wonthaggi v Moe, 1pm.

C grade: Moe v Bairnsdale, noon.

Under 17s: Moe v Drouin, 11am.

Under 15s: Drouin v Wonthaggi, 10am.

Under 13s: Traralgon v Leongatha, 9am.
